Tell us about the areas you are most comfortable working in

My area of special interest would have to early acquisition of literacy skills related to speech sound difficulties and Developmental Language Disorder. I love working with early primary school children who are experiencing difficulty with the building blocks of reading and writing. The privilege of making a difference in young learners lives never gets old.

What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?

I enjoy reading, cooking, bush walking and travel.

Anything else you want us to know?

I have been working with the sub committee of SPA, Speech Pathologists working in Schools for the past 18 months. Our goal has been to develop a master plan to implement getting Speech Pathologists in public schools in WA. We have developed a pilot plan and are meeting with the Education Department soon to pitch our ideas.
